Competition rules
How BIDDOM’s paid advertising competitions operate fairly and transparently.
What businesses purchase
- A payment purchases competitive digital advertising exposure; it does not buy or legally own a place.
- Titles such as “Claim Birmingham” describe the leading BIDDOM advertising position only.
- Every active bidder keeps a public profile, clickable leaderboard position and measured exposure even when outbid.
Weekly territory competitions
- Each active territory runs its own weekly competition.
- The default closing time is Sunday at 8:00 PM Europe/London. Admin may publish a different time before a competition begins.
- Bids are cumulative within a competition week. The default first bid and top-up minimum is £1.
- Only payments confirmed by Stripe contribute to rankings. Ties are broken by the earliest timestamp at which the tied total was reached.
- At close, winners and history are permanently recorded and a fresh weekly competition begins at £0.
Community recognition
- Community Champion and Prime Minister are determined by verified votes, not advertising spend.
- One verified account may vote once per business, territory and week. National Prime Minister support counts each voter/business combination once.
- Fraudulent or coordinated abusive votes may be removed.
UK Crown
- The UK Crown is a separate persistent advertising competition and does not reset weekly.
- The highest valid Crown total is Crown Holder; second place is Royal Heir.
- Refunded contributions cease to count.
